The team were a great support at a difficult time.
I would however been nice to have had follow up call/visit after my wife passed away just to close our relationship which I feel was 'unfinished business'/
I have nothing but praise for the team and hope they continue thier work helping others.
1st of all as soon as I turned up to visit my husband ill in hospital I was approached by one of your team to have a chat, which in my opinion was not the right time, as I had gone to the hosp to visit my husband, not to talk to one of your team, visiting hors were more cut by the closer of the ward so the nurses could give patient care, so by taking me as a visitor away from seeing my husband wasn't ideal, it could have waited until after visiting hours.
The care was very good, me waited a while at first for the scan.
It was a worring terme but all the care after was. Great. Thank you.
I do not feel that the family ever knew the fuel extent of my mothers illness-we were informed sue was ternately ill but despite having breast cancer for which she was receiving treatment never establishing further diagnosis of secondaries this made the decision to put DNR and syringe driver more difficult.
My partner and I were very saisfide with the service you provided.
Thank you all for the fine work you all did.
The care that my husband received was very good whislt he was in hospital and the after care was very good too. The Mcmillan team were excellent and very caring. My husbands last days were in a hospice where he also had wonderful care. I and my family were also given loving care. For this we thank all involved. Referred to service eventually but initially the appointment form hospital never arrived! Therefore there was a delay getting my husband into hospital.
I think that all on palliative care should be seen at some time just cray it my catch other early.
I think all the staff I saw was under great pressure from the top button that when mistakes happen and the people thing they are not interested.
It seems to me that cost comes into it come were along the treatment and after.
We don't like ticking boxes.
The care my husband has been given and is still receiving has been given with care, kindness and consideration for our needs.
Thank you.
